Forma skin tightening · Full face

    In short

Forma uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of skin to a controlled temperature, which contracts existing collagen immediately and stimulates new collagen over the following months. It costs $450 a session at BHRC, or $2,100 for a series of six. There are no needles and no downtime, but it needs a series to work and it is gentler than Morpheus8 or Ultherapy.

    Where Forma actually fits

Forma is the gentlest tightening treatment we carry, and being clear about that is more useful than overselling it. It suits mild to moderate laxity, people who genuinely cannot take downtime, and maintenance after something stronger. If the laxity is significant, Morpheus8 or Ultherapy will do more in fewer sessions, and we would rather send you there than sell you a series that underdelivers. What Forma offers in exchange is real: no needles, no recovery, nothing visible afterwards, and a session that feels like a warm massage.

Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly through the series, then every three to six months to maintain. Collagen production declines with age regardless, so maintenance is genuinely part of the plan rather than an upsell.

    Where we treat

    How it works

    How Forma Works

Controlled heat, held at the right depth.

A handpiece delivers radiofrequency energy into the deeper layers of skin while monitoring the temperature continuously, holding the tissue in the range where collagen responds without damaging the surface.

That heat causes existing collagen fibres to contract immediately, which is the mild tightening people sometimes notice on the day.

It also triggers fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin over the following weeks. This is the part that actually matters, and it is why a series works and a single session does not.

Because the energy is delivered through the surface rather than through needles, there is no wound to heal, and therefore no downtime and no visible sign that you had anything done.

    Which product

    Forma vs. the stronger options

We carry all three. Here is when Forma is not the answer.

A BHRC provider comparing skin tightening options
    Forma

Starts working: None. Lasts: Gradual over 3 months. $450 a session, six for $2,100. No needles, no downtime, comfortable. Best for mild to moderate laxity, for people who cannot take recovery time, and for maintenance. Needs a series.

    Morpheus8

Starts working: 2 to 4 days. Lasts: Improves over 6 months. From $700. Needles plus radiofrequency, so the energy goes deeper and does considerably more per session. Fewer sessions, real downtime. The right answer for moderate to significant laxity.

    Ultherapy

Starts working: None. Lasts: 2 to 6 months. Ultrasound rather than radiofrequency, reaching the deepest layer of the three and the only one that lifts. One session. The right answer where the complaint is a dropping jawline rather than surface crepiness.

    Doing nothing

Starts working: None. Lasts: n/a. Worth saying: if the laxity is significant, a Forma series will not fix it and we will tell you that at the consultation rather than after six sessions.

What Forma Can Do For You

And what it is not strong enough for.

A BHRC provider performing a Forma skin tightening treatment
    Firm mild laxity

Early softening along the jawline and cheeks, the sweet spot for this treatment.

    Smooth crepey skin

Particularly around the eyes and on the neck, where stronger treatments are harder to use.

    Tighten without downtime

Nothing visible afterwards. You can have a session at lunch and go back to a meeting.

    Treat delicate areas

Around the eyes and on the neck, where the skin is thin and gentler energy is an advantage rather than a compromise.

    Maintain a stronger result

Excellent after Morpheus8 or Ultherapy, keeping the collagen response going.

    Feel genuinely pleasant

Warm and comfortable. Most people find it relaxing, which is not something we can say about much else here.

    ⚠️ Not fix significant laxity

If there is real sagging, Forma will not be enough. Morpheus8 or Ultherapy will, and we will point you there.

    Aftercare

    After a session

There is very little to report, which is the appeal.

A BHRC provider finishing a Forma treatment
    Immediately after

Mild warmth and a light flush that fades within an hour. Makeup straight away.

    Same day

Back to anything. No restrictions at all.

    The first week

Some people notice a slight immediate tightening from collagen contraction. It is subtle.

    Through the series

Weekly or fortnightly. Consistency matters more than intensity with this treatment.

    Months 1 to 3

The real change, as new collagen builds. Gradual enough that photographs are the only way to see it.

    Skincare

Retinoids and peptides support the collagen response. Worth using alongside.

    Maintenance

Every three to six months keeps it.

    Frequently asked

    Forma questions, answered

Common Questions Forma FAQ What is Forma and how does it work?

Forma is an advanced non-invasive skin tightening treatment that uses bipolar radiofrequency (RF) technology to deliver thermal energy deep into the dermis. This controlled heating stimulates collagen production and causes immediate tissue contraction, resulting in firmer, tighter, more youthful-looking skin. The treatment is comfortable, with most patients describing it as a warm, relaxing massage.

How long does it take to see results from Forma?

Many patients notice an immediate subtle tightening and healthy glow right after treatment. However, the most significant results develop over 2-3 months as new collagen forms in the treated areas. A series of 6 treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results, with continued improvement for up to 6 months after completing the series. Is Forma painful?

    What does it feel like?

Forma is one of the most comfortable skin tightening treatments available. Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, soothing massage. The device has built-in temperature controls that continuously monitor skin temperature to ensure safety and comfort throughout the treatment. No numbing cream or anesthesia is required.

How many Forma treatments will I need?

Most patients achieve optimal results with a series of 6 treatments, spaced 1-2 weeks apart. However, the exact number of treatments depends on your individual skin condition, age, and desired results. During your consultation, our providers will assess your skin and recommend a personalized treatment plan. Maintenance sessions every few months can help sustain your results.

What areas can be treated with Forma?

Forma is highly versatile and can treat multiple areas. The most popular treatment areas include the face (forehead, cheeks, jawline, around the eyes and mouth), neck, and jowls. It can also be used on body areas like the arms, abdomen, and thighs for skin tightening. Our providers will customize the treatment to address your specific concerns.

Is there any downtime after Forma treatment?

One of Forma’s greatest advantages is that it requires zero downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment. Some patients experience mild redness or warmth in the treated area, but this typically subsides within a few hours. You can even apply makeup right after your session if desired.

Who is a good candidate for Forma?

Forma is ideal for adults experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity who want to improve skin firmness without surgery. It’s safe for all skin types and tones, making it an excellent option for diverse patients. Good candidates include those noticing early signs of aging, people wanting to prevent further sagging, and those seeking to maintain results from previous procedures.

How long do Forma results last?

Results from a complete Forma series typically last 1-2 years, though this varies based on individual factors like age, skin condition, and lifestyle. The collagen your body produces in response to treatment is real and long-lasting. To maintain optimal results, we recommend periodic maintenance treatments every 3-6 months, along with a good skincare routine and sun protection. Individual results may vary. Forma is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment and results depend on individual factors such as age, skin condition, and treatment compliance.
