Forma vs. Other Skin Tightening Treatments

Forma Vs. Ultherapy

While Forma and Ultherapy are similar in that they are both used to improve skin tightness and elasticity, they differ in various ways. Forma uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the dermal layer of the skin, promoting collagen remodeling.  Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to deeply penetrate the layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production. Generally, Ultherapy is better suited for lifting and addressing deep skin laxity, while Forma is ideal for improving surface skin quality.

Forma vs. PRP

While Forma uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production, PRP stimulates collagen production through the creation of micro-wounds in the skin. Overall, Forma is ideal for skin tightening and lifting, while PRP excels in skin repair and rejuvenation.

Target Your Concerns with Forma

Forma by InMode is designed to address a range of skin concerns related to aging, laxity, and overall skin health. Its non-invasive nature and ability to stimulate collagen production make it ideal for tackling the following main concerns:

Lax Skin

Forma can address the loss of elasticity in the face, neck, and body for a rejuvenated appearance.

Uneven Skin Texture

By promoting collagen remodeling, Forma can improve the overall smoothness of the skin.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Early signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, forehead lines, and nasolabial folds, can be softened through Forma treatments.

Loss of Facial Contours

Forma helps to redefine areas such as the cheeks and jawline for a more sculpted, youthful look.

What Forma Actually Does

To begin your Forma treatment your skin will be prepped through cleansing and the application of a cooling gel. Next, the Forma handpiece will be gently passed over the treatment areas, delivering controlled RF heat energy to the skin, warming the dermal layers. Patients often describe this feeling as a warm, massage-like sensation. Each treatment session usually takes 30-60 minutes to complete.

Mild redness and warmth, similar to a post-workout glow, may occur after treatment. Some patients may notice a subtle tightening effect directly after treatment, though improvement will continue for the next couple of months. There is no downtime required, so you can feel free to return to your regular activities as soon as you wish.

Forma FAQs at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center

  • What is Forma by InMode?

Forma is a skin and tissue remodeling technology with an advanced heating applicator. Radiofrequency travels via electrodes to deliver non-invasive painless treatment, which the device’s settings can control for optimal results.

  • How much does Forma cost?

The cost of InMode Forma starts off at around $200 and goes up to $1,200 per session. The total cost of your treatments depends on the area you are treating and the number of sessions you need to reach your goal. Contact us today to get a quote customized for you.

  • How does Forma by InMode work?

Forma uses radiofrequency technology in the form of a needle to provide deep-layer skin contraction. This energy has been shown to stimulate new collagen production and improve your skin quality for long-lasting results that will give you stunningly beautiful-looking skin!

  • How long does Forma last?

With just one Forma session, your results will last a few weeks. However, depending on the goal you are trying to achieve and with multiple sessions over time as well as yearly maintenance, results can last up to 4 years.

  • Does ultrasonic skin tightening really work?

Ultrasonic skin tightening is a popular beauty treatment that uses sound waves to lift and tone loose, sagging skin. But does it really work? The answer is yes and no. While ultrasonic skin tightening can produce temporary results, it is not a long-term solution for wrinkles and slackening skin. Combining ultrasonic treatments with other anti-aging modalities such as retinoids, facial exercises, and laser resurfacing is the best way to achieve long-lasting effects. You can achieve the best possible results by taking a comprehensive approach to aging skin.

  • Is there anything better than Forma by InMode?

FDA approval and safety auto-regulation are not the only features that make Inmode Forma one of the best skin-tightening Dubai procedures; it is also highly effective and gentle enough to work on all skin types. The Inmode Forma uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deep layers of skin, stimulating collagen production and resulting in skin tightening. The advantage of this treatment over others is that it heats the tissue slowly and evenly, resulting in a more natural-looking and long-lasting result. InMode Forma is ideal for those seeking a safe and effective way to achieve tighter, more youthful-looking skin.

  • Can Forma damage your skin?

InMode Forma is a new cosmetic treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to improve the appearance of skin. The treatment effectively reduces wrinkles, improves skin texture, and makes the skin appear more youthful. However, some people have raised concerns about the safety of InMode Forma, suggesting that it could damage the skin. While it is true that InMode Forma delivers a high level of heat to the skin, this heat is carefully controlled and monitored by trained professionals. In addition, InMode Forma has been extensively tested in clinical trials and is safe and effective. As a result, no evidence suggests that InMode Forma damages the skin.

  • Who should not use Forma by InMode?

Contraindications for InMode Forma treatments include:

    • Pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body. The Applicator should be used at least 1cm away from cochlear implants in the ear.
    • Permanent implant in the treated area, such as metal plate screws and metal piercing, silicone implants, or an injected chemical substance, unless deep enough in the periosteal plane. When treating dental metal implants, it is possible to create a barrier by condensing cotton rolls or gauze and treating over it.
    • Intra-dermal or superficial sub-dermal areas that have been injected with HA/collagen/fat injections or other augmentation methods with bio-material during the last six months.
    • Current or history of skin cancer, condition of any other type of cancer, or premalignant moles.
    • Severe concurrent conditions include cardiac disorders, sensory disturbances, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases.
    • Pregnancy and nursing.
    • Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, autoimmune disorders, or use of immunosuppressive medications.
    • Patients with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area, may be treated only following a prophylactic regimen.
    • Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction and hormonal virilization.
    • Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rash.
    • History of skin disorders, keloids, abnormal wound healing, and very dry and fragile skin.
    • History of bleeding coagulopathies or use of anticoagulants in the last ten days as per the practitioner’s discretion.
    • Facial dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and deep chemical peeling within the last three months before treatment.
    • Having received treatment with light, laser, RF, or other devices in the treated area within three months or before complete healing.
    • Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last six months or before complete healing.
    • Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane®) within six months before treatment.
    • As per the practitioner’s discretion, refrain from treating any condition that might make it unsafe for the patient

  • What should I do before my Forma treatment?

We recommend the following steps be taken before your InMode Forma treatment at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center:

    One Week Before Treatment

    • Stop taking NSAID medicines such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Naproxen since they interfere with normal blood clotting. Check medication labels for the active ingredient.
    • You may take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) as needed for pain, not to exceed 3000 mg a day.

    Three Days Before Treatment

    • Discontinue any irritant-type topical products or treatments
    • These include alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, retinol (vitamin A), vitamin C (in a low pH formula), scrubs, or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare.
    • Treatments such as microdermabrasion and laser
    • No prolonged sun exposure to the area being treated
    • A treatment will not be administered on sunburned skin

    Day of Treatment

    • Shower as usual
    • Do not apply any lotion, powder, oils, or other products to treatment areas
    • If your face/neck is being treated – cleanse your face/neck and do not apply makeup; if you have long hair, bring a hair band to pull it back
  • What should I do after my Forma treatment?

Clean: Use a soothing cleanser or face wash with lukewarm water to cleanse the face and gently pat dry the treated skin until it heals. Always make sure that your hands are clean when touching the treated area.

Hydrate: Use a gentle moisturizer or healing ointment on the treatment area until the skin heals.

Protect:  At 24 hours after the procedure, apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a SPF30 AT ALL TIMES when you are outside. Use a physical sunscreen (Zinc/Titanium Dioxide) daily. Do not use chemical sunscreens (oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate). Reapply often→In addition to reducing your future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow aging.
