About Belotero
Belotero Balance is a dermal filler injectable treatment for those suffering from moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds. This injection can temporarily smooth out and fill in the lines that run along your nose to meet at the corner of your mouth, making you look more youthful than ever! Belotero balance does not require surgery but will give an instant improvement without any recovery time or side effects like some other treatments do. BELOTERO BALANCE is a prescription injection approved to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate to severe nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth). Belotero Balance uses Hyaluronic Acid, a clear gel found naturally in our skin, as well as other tissues in the body, such as joints and tendons. The hyaluronic acid in Belotero Balance is specially formulated to bind with water and act as a cushioning agent. This helps to plump up the skin and smooth out wrinkles and lines. The results are immediate and can last up to six months. No downtime is associated with this treatment, so that you can return to your busy life immediately! If you are looking for a non-surgical way to reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds, Belotero Balance may be right for you. Talk to your doctor today about whether this injectable treatment is proper for you.

Belotero FAQ’s
Is Belotero better than Juvederm?
Though Juvederm and Belotero are both dermal fillers, many people prefer the lower density of Belotero for filling finer lines and wrinkles than Juvederm. It is injected superficially into your skin using a fine-gauge needle to go higher up in the Dermis layer to create more dramatic results with less product.
Is Belotero better than Restylane?
The difference between Belotero and Restylane is that it has been perfected to reduce fine lines. Many experts believe Belotero is better because it is easier to layer, making it a great option as a top layer filler that can be used on top of deep layer fillers.
Does Belotero stimulate collagen?
Belotero is an FDA-approved injectable form of collagen that helps stimulate the body's natural production. Belotero has been clinically shown to increase volume up to 6% after just one treatment session. It also boosts your own skin cells' ability to produce new collagen fibers for longer-lasting results with fewer treatments overall.
Is Belotero good for under eyes?
Yes, we often recommend Belotero for the delicate area around the eye. It is well suited as an under-eye filler because it's made of hyaluronic acid, which is less likely to cause allergic reactions than other substances used in injections like collagen.
Who should not use BELOTERO BALANCE®?
BELOTERO BALANCE should not be used in patients with a history of or presence of multiple or severe allergies, including those with a history of anaphylaxis. BELOTERO BALANCE should not be used in patients with allergies to gram-positive bacterial proteins. [Reference - https://www.belotero.com/safe-effective/]

These medicines may put you at an increased risk of bruising or bleeding at the treatment site. Tell your doctor if you have a skin reaction like cold sores, cysts, pimples, rashes, hives, or an infection. Treatment with BELOTERO BALANCE should be delayed until the reaction goes away. What should I do before my Belotero treatment?
- DO NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising)
- Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood-thinning medications, if possible, for two weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo Biloba, ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS have a blood-thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
- Schedule your Belotero appointment at least two weeks before a special event you may be attending, such as a wedding or a vacation. Bruising and swelling may be apparent in that time period.
- Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and two days after treatment. Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the area.
- Be sure to have a good breakfast, including food and drink, before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.
- You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What should I do after my Belotero treatment?
- Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area. Unless instructed by the provider.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.
- Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling.
- If you have swelling, you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.
- Use Tylenol for discomfort.
- Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.
- Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling; start at least two days before injections.
