About ProYellow Laser Skin Treatments
The main differences between the ProYellow and other skin rejuvenation lasers has to do with wavelength and the available pulse duration adjustments of each desired wavelength. In other words, different laser wavelengths (colors of light) target different skin issues. Our skin care professionals at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center work to match the proper wavelength with the proper pulse durations to achieve the results you desire without affecting the surrounding tissue.
Traditionally, the most commonly used laser wavelength for the treatment of pigmented lesions (such as sun spots & age spots) and vascular lesions (or unsightly veins) has been the 532nm laser, or green laser light.
Green lasers provide very good results in skin types I to III, but 532nm is no longer the ideal wavelength (or color) for targeting vascular lesions for skin types 1-IV.

How deep does Pro Yellow go into the skin?
Lasers can target specific areas of the body where there is a need for treatment. The laser profoundly penetrates the skin and delivers its energy directly towards tissue such as veins, capillaries, or even an individual's epidermis without harming them in any way!
Why is yellow laser color good for skin rejuvenation?
The yellow wavelength is a much more efficient way to produce heat than the standard green light, requiring 40% less power for treatment. This means two things: minimal risk of side effects and higher success rates!
Are yellow lasers better than green lasers?
Yellow light is 40% more effective than green at cleansing your blood. This means less power required for treatment, which in turn provides several significant advantages, including Minimal risk side effects like burns or pigmentation changes; reduced cost due diligence on the part of doctors when it comes to producing equipment that produces these different types/wavelengths (more expensive); flexibility regarding where such treatments may take place--inclined surfaces are more accessible with yellow waves rather than having someone stand.

What should I tell my doctor before getting ProYellow?
Before getting Pro Yellow Laser Treatment, it's important to tell your doctor about any medical conditions and medications you're taking. This treatment uses a laser to target and destroy the bacteria that cause acne. It can be used on the face, chest, back, or other areas affected by acne. The treatment is safe and effective, but it's essential to make sure that your doctor is aware of any potential risks. After your doctor has evaluated your case, they'll be able to determine if Pro Yellow Laser Treatment is the right option for you.
What should I do before my ProYellow treatment?
- Generally, little or no pre-treatment is required with the Pro Yellow 577nm. The provider may advise you to avoid tanning the treatment area for two weeks before treatment.
- Your provider may recommend treatment to prepare you for laser therapy. Sometimes a mild bleaching agent is prescribed to lighten the areas that will be treated.
What should I do after my ProYellow treatment?
- The area treated with the laser may be red afterward. This will generally fade within 24-48 hours. Some vascular treatments, such as leg veins, may cause a darkened appearance of the vessels for 7-10 days.
- The treated area can be washed typically with mild soap and water. Wash the area gently with your fingertips. The use of a washcloth or other abrasive instrument is not recommended.
- Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for the next 3-4 weeks. Use of sunscreen containing an SPF of 30 or higher is recommended.
- Avoid irritants such as products containing glycolic acid or Retin-A for 5-7 days.
- Minor crusting or scabbing of the treated area can occur. Do not rub or pick the scab. After washing with fingertips with gentle soap, apply an antibacterial ointment to the treated area.
- Pigmented lesions may turn gray or dark after treatment. As the skin heals, in 7-14 days, the spot will slough off. Do not rub or pick the lesion. The antibacterial or moisturizing ointment may be applied to the area as desired.
Please remember that multiple treatments may be required to achieve the optimum result with either vascular or pigmented lesions.
