Get Rid Of Those Bags! 4 Ways To Treat Under Eye Circles

You might be tired of hearing these kinds of sentiments from friends and family, or even from strangers in the grocery store checkout line.  Under eye circles leave us looking tired and stressed out. There are lots of treatment options out there so that you don’t have to live with the reality of this issue, some that are expected like getting more sleep, others that are more unconventional and out of the box like using under eye injectable fillers.

Here are four ways to treat under eye circles so that you can look better and feel better!

1 – Address Allergy Issues

Allergies are a common culprit of under eye circles.  Whenever there’s an irritant that sets off the body’s immune system, it brings with it a tendency to wreak havoc with the entire body. Try using a Neti pot during allergy season to ward off issues before they become catastrophic. You can also use other natural methods like essential oils or facial steams to keep allergy symptoms at bay. Of course you can always bring the issue up with your doctor so that they can help you to combat allergy symptoms and get the relief that you need.  For many people, this solution is a solid fix that gets to the root of the problem.

2 – Do Yoga for Your Face

Yes, it does seem that yoga can do just about everything for us. Facial yoga exercises improve circulation and will help to reduce the appearance of under eye circle. Get rid of those bags under your eyes with the lion! The peer reviewed research on this method leaves a mixed set of outcomes. Controlled studies have yet to prove its effectiveness. However the practice of face yoga certainly won’t do any harm and yoga in general supports number four on our list.

3 – Try Under Eye Injectable Fillers

Another major contributing factor to under eye circles is age. Fat deposits under the eyes that keep us looking round and young start to recess as the years go by. Age related under eye circles won’t be fully resolved with any of the other options on this list. They require intervention to replace the material that used to be there. Under eye injectable fillers are injected carefully near the under eye hollows or dark circles using a local anesthetic to ensure a pain-free experience. The results look pronounced, reducing the appearance of under eye circles with minimal bruising and few side effects.

Individuals have several options for fillers, and just a few popular fillers include Juvederm XC, Radiesse, and Restylane Silk. Consultation with a qualified physician will help you to determine which one is right for you.  Results last from four months to a year and a half depending on the filler and the individual. However, the procedure may be repeated when necessary to maintain results.

4- Reduce Stress

Under eye circles often manifest because of high levels of stress. Whatever problems present themselves in life, addressing them with a level head and a willingness to be patient are almost always the best answers. To reduce stress, learn to cut things out of your life that aren’t directly serving your goals.

Another fantastic strategy – meditate daily for at least thirty minutes. That might sound like a long time, but time coupled with rigorous research demonstrates that the  proven benefits of meditation have long-lasting effects on stress levels and even physical appearance. Think of this time as time that’s just for you – time that you can keep for yourself. The more steps that you take on the path to taking care of you, the lower your stress level and the younger and healthier you’ll look and feel.
