About Jeuveau®

‍Jeuveau® is a prescription drug that can be injected into the muscles of adults to freeze the nerves and improve their appearance temporarily. These neurotoxins paralyze muscle tissue, which smooths out wrinkles for a youthful look. Jeuveau® is most commonly used to treat crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and bunny lines.

Jeuveau®, like BOTOX®, uses purified botulinum toxin to temporarily relax small muscle groups that cause dynamic wrinkles when these compounds are injected into them; they block nerve signals so the brain can no longer instruct treated muscles to move.

Jeuveau FAQs

  • What Is Jeuveau®?

‍Jeuveau® is the newest and latest in wrinkle-fighting technology. It’s derived from a purified form of botulinum toxin, which has been used for decades to help relax small muscle groups that cause dynamic wrinkles.

  • How does Jeuveau® Work?

Jeuveau®, like Botox®, uses purified botulinum toxin to temporarily relax small muscle groups that cause dynamic wrinkles when these compounds are injected into them; they block nerve signals so the brain can no longer instruct treated muscles to move.

  • How Much Does Jeuveau® Cost?

Depending on the severity of the wrinkles and desired results, wrinkle reduction can run anywhere from $200 to $700. Those with deeper wrinkles may need more product injected to achieve their goals than someone with only a few fine lines.

  • How Long Does Jeuveau® Last?

‍Jeuveau® is the newest and most effective option for those fighting aging. Jeuveau can last up to six months, while other treatments only offer three or four. The effectiveness of treatment varies from person to person.

  • Is Jeuveau® Better Than Botox®?

Though clinical trials have shown that their safety profile is similar, it needs to be clarified whether either product has any real advantages regarding treatment success rates or cost-effectiveness.

  • Does Jeuveau® Last Longer than Botox®?

Botox and ‍Jeuveau® can be used to treat expression lines, and both last 3-6 months, but Jeuveau takes a few days for results, and Botox takes up to 14 days.

  • Is Jeuveau® The Same as Botox®?

‍Jeuveau® and BOTOX® are both effective treatments for dynamic wrinkles, but they work differently. ‍Jeuveau® is made in South Korea with a slightly different form of botulinum toxin than the one used to make BOTOX®, which comes from Ireland.

  • How Long Does It Take For Jeuveau® To Kick In?

One major advantage ‍Jeuveau® offers over other neuromodulator injections is how quickly it works on patients’ faces: typically 2-3 days post-procedure versus 7-10 days wait times seen with rival injectables like Botox.

  • Who Should Not Use Jeuveau®?

Do not use JEUVEAU® if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in JEUVEAU® (see Medication Guide for ingredients), had an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin product such as rimabotulinumtoxinB (MYOBLOC®), onabotulinumtoxinA (BOTOX®/BOTOX® Cosmetic), abobotulinumtoxinA (DYSPORT®), or incobotulinumtoxinA (XEOMIN®); have a skin infection at the planned injection site; or are a child.

JEUVEAU® dosing units are not the same or comparable to any other botulinum.

  • What Should I Tell My Doctor Before Injections With Jeuveau®?

Tell your healthcare provider about all your muscle or nerve conditions, such as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, Myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, as you may be at increased risk of severe side effects, including difficulty swallowing and difficulty breathing from typical doses of JEUVEAU®.

Tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions, including any side effects from botulinum toxin products, including dry eye; breathing, swallowing, bleeding, or heart problems; plans to have surgery; weakness of forehead muscles; drooping eyelids; have had surgery on your face; are pregnant or breastfeeding or plan to become pregnant or breastfeed (it is not known if JEUVEAU® can harm your unborn baby or passes into breast milk).

Tell your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Using JEUVEAU® with certain other medicines may cause serious side effects. Do not start any new medicines until you have told your healthcare provider that you have received JEUVEAU® in the past.

Tell your healthcare provider if you have received any other botulinum toxin product in the past and the last four months, and exactly which product you received (such as BOTOXBOTOX Cosmetic, MYOBLOC, DYSPORT, or XEOMIN).
