What exactly is the Instant BBL?+
The Instant BBL is a non-surgical Brazilian butt lift using FDA-approved injectable biostimulators and fillers — primarily Sculptra and Radiesse — to add volume, lift, and shape to the buttocks. Unlike surgical BBL (which transfers fat from other body areas), the Instant BBL uses injectables that stimulate your own collagen production and/or directly add volume. There is no surgery, no general anesthesia, and no significant recovery period.
How long does an Instant BBL last?+
Sculptra-based results typically last 2+ years as the collagen stimulated is your own body's production. Radiesse results last 12–18 months. Most BHRC patients maintain results with a single touch-up session annually. The longevity depends on which injectables are used, how many vials are placed, and individual metabolism. With consistent maintenance, many patients sustain results for several years.
How much volume can I expect?+
The Instant BBL adds measurable, natural-looking volume — not the dramatic augmentation of a surgical procedure. A typical protocol of 3–4 vials of Sculptra produces a noticeable improvement in projection and lift that others will notice as a more shapely, toned appearance rather than obvious augmentation. Results are proportionate to your existing anatomy. During consultation, your BHRC provider will show you realistic before/after examples from patients with similar anatomy.
Is the Instant BBL safe?+
Yes — when performed by trained, physician-supervised providers using FDA-approved products, the Instant BBL has an excellent safety profile. BHRC uses blunt-tip cannulas (not sharp needles) in the buttock area, which significantly reduces the risk of vascular complications. All product selection and dosing is reviewed by a physician. As with any injectable, bruising, swelling, and tenderness are common and resolve within days.
What's the recovery like after an Instant BBL?+
Most BHRC patients return to desk work and light activities within 24–48 hours. You will be advised to avoid direct pressure on the treated area (no sitting directly on the buttocks) for 48–72 hours. Avoid intense exercise for 1 week. Sculptra requires a specific massage protocol (the '5-5-5 rule' — massage 5 times daily, 5 minutes each time, for 5 days) to ensure even distribution. Your BHRC provider will walk you through the full aftercare protocol at your appointment.
How is the Instant BBL different from surgical BBL?+
Surgical BBL involves fat harvesting via liposuction, processing, and re-injection into the buttocks under general anesthesia. Recovery is 2–6 weeks and carries surgical risks including fat embolism (rare but serious). The Instant BBL uses injectables, takes 60–90 minutes in-office, requires no anesthesia, and has minimal recovery. The surgical procedure can achieve greater volume in a single session; the Instant BBL is better for patients who prefer a non-surgical option with gradual, natural-looking results.
Can I combine the Instant BBL with other treatments?+
Yes. CoolSculpting or Emsculpt Neo (available at select BHRC locations) can reduce adjacent fat or increase muscle tone to complement the Instant BBL results. Many patients combine the Instant BBL with Sculptra facial treatments on the same day. Your provider will build a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses all of your contouring goals.
Who is a good candidate for the Instant BBL?+
The ideal Instant BBL candidate is at or near their goal weight, in good general health, and looking for enhancement rather than dramatic augmentation. It works best for patients with mild-to-moderate volume deficiency, asymmetry, or loss of projection with aging. Patients who are significantly underweight or have had previous buttock surgeries should discuss candidacy individually during consultation.
