    In short

The Teoxane RHA Collection is a range of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers made by Teoxane in Switzerland and distributed in the US by Revance. The FDA approved RHA 2, RHA 3 and RHA 4 in 2017 for moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds such as smile lines, then RHA Redensity for lipstick lines (2021), RHA 3 for lips (2023) and RHA 4 and RHA Dynamic Volume for cheeks (2025). Teoxane says results can last up to 15 months in wrinkles and folds and up to a year in cheeks, lips and lipstick lines. At Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center RHA is offered at our two Houston clinics from $750 a syringe and at our Henderson clinic for $800.

    What the RHA Collection is

RHA stands for resilient hyaluronic acid. Like Juvéderm and Restylane, RHA fillers are hyaluronic acid, a sugar your skin already contains, cross-linked so it lasts months instead of days. Teoxane makes them with a process it calls Preserved Network Technology, which it describes as gentle and heatless, so the gel stays closer to the hyaluronic acid in your skin.

The point of the range is movement. Teoxane designed RHA for the parts of the face that bend and stretch all day, such as smile lines, lips and the lines around the mouth, so the result looks natural at rest and when you talk or smile. The FDA approvals reflect that: the first ones, in 2017, were for dynamic facial wrinkles and folds.

In the US, Revance distributes the versions made with mepivacaine, a local anaesthetic, so you may see them called RHA 2, RHA 3 and so on without the "Mepi". Because RHA is hyaluronic acid, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if a result needs adjusting.

    The range

The RHA range, product by product

What each product is FDA approved for, how long Teoxane says it lasts, and which BHRC clinics list it.

RHA 2, for smile lines and folds

Approved in 2017 for moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from nose to mouth, injected into the mid-to-deep dermis. Teoxane says results in wrinkles and folds can last up to 15 months. Listed at our Henderson clinic, $800.

RHA 3, for folds and lips

Approved in 2017 for dynamic wrinkles and folds, and in 2023 for lip augmentation (the mepivacaine version followed in 2025). In Teoxane's 12-month lip study nearly half of participants still had increased lip fullness at one year. In July 2026 the FDA approved a new commercial name, RHA Kiss Volume, for the mepivacaine version. $750 in Houston, $800 in Henderson.

RHA 4 and RHA Dynamic Volume, for deeper folds and cheeks

RHA 4 was approved in 2017 for deeper dynamic folds, placed from the deep dermis to the superficial fat. In September 2025 the FDA approved RHA 4 and RHA Dynamic Volume for cheek augmentation and age-related midface contour loss. Houston lists RHA 4 at $750; Henderson lists RHA Dynamic Volume at $800.

    RHA Redensity, for lipstick lines

Approved in 2021 for moderate to severe dynamic perioral lines, the fine vertical lines around the lips, injected into the superficial dermis. In Teoxane's 12-month study two thirds of participants still had improvement at 12 months. Listed at our Henderson clinic, $800.

RHA Redensity Eye, for under-eye hollows

Approved in May 2026 for moderate to severe volume loss under the eyes. It is not on any BHRC clinic's price list yet; ask your clinic.

    Comparison

    RHA vs Juvéderm and Restylane

All three are hyaluronic acid, all three can be dissolved, and all three are FDA approved for specific areas. The choice is about the area and how the gel behaves.

    What RHA is built for

Teoxane designed RHA for areas that move and stretch, and its first approvals were for dynamic wrinkles and folds. It says results can last up to 15 months in folds and up to a year in lips, cheeks and lipstick lines.

    Lips

RHA 3 against Juvéderm Volbella XC or Ultra XC and Restylane Kysse. Allergan says Volbella and Ultra XC in the lips can last up to one year, and Galderma says the same of Kysse, so on duration the three are close.

    Areas only some brands cover

Juvéderm Volux is the only one of the three approved for the jawline, and Restylane Lyft the only one approved for the backs of the hands. RHA Redensity is approved specifically for lipstick lines.

    Price at BHRC

In Houston, RHA and Restylane are $750 a syringe and most Juvéderm products are $800. At our other corporate clinics we offer Juvéderm and Restylane rather than RHA. Compare the plan, not the brand. See Juvéderm and Restylane.

    Safety

RHA side effects, and dissolving it

    Common side effects

Redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps or bumps, bruising, discoloration and itching at the injection site. Teoxane says most redness and swelling settles within seven days and bruising within seven to ten.

    Who should not have RHA

Anyone with multiple severe allergies or a history of severe allergic reactions, an allergy to lidocaine or mepivacaine or to gram-positive bacterial proteins, or a bleeding disorder. RHA is for adults 22 and older, and it has not been studied in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

    Rare but serious

Any filler can, rarely, be injected into a blood vessel, which can cause vision problems, blindness, stroke or scarring. Delayed inflammation and small lumps called granulomas can appear weeks or months later. This is why RHA should only be injected by a trained, licensed provider.

    Can RHA be dissolved?

Yes. RHA is hyaluronic acid, and hyaluronidase is the enzyme used to dissolve hyaluronic acid filler that is overcorrected or misplaced. Our Houston clinics list Hylenex filler dissolving at $350 a treatment.

    Good to know

Good to know before you book

The questions that come up most in consultation.

A BHRC injector placing dermal filler
Why your lips look bigger on day two

Swelling peaks in the first days, especially in lips. Judge the result at about two weeks.

    Product names are changing

Revance sells the mepivacaine versions, Dynamic Volume is the name on the cheek product, and the FDA approved the name RHA Kiss Volume for RHA 3 in July 2026. Your clinic's list may use older names for the same gels.

Filler is not always the answer

If skin has loosened rather than lost volume, adding filler can make a face look heavy. Your provider may suggest skin tightening or a collagen stimulator instead.

    Rewards

RHA earns points in Revance's REVA program, as Daxxify does.

    Aftercare

    After RHA filler

Most people go straight back to their day.

A BHRC injector applying aftercare after filler
    The first 24 hours

Teoxane advises keeping strenuous exercise, strong sun or heat and alcohol to a minimum for the first 24 hours.

    Swelling and bruising

Most redness and swelling settles within seven days, and bruising within seven to ten.

    Laser or peels

Tell your provider if you are planning a laser treatment or chemical peel, as there is a possible risk of inflammation if these follow filler.

    Review at two weeks

The settled result is visible at about two weeks. That is the time to decide whether anything needs refining.

    Aftercare

What to use at home afterwards.

Your result lasts longer when what you use at home is doing the same work. This is the routine our providers start most patients on, dispensed through the practice. Not sure it is right for your skin? Take the skin quiz, or ask your provider to build one around the treatment you are having.

    Frequently asked

    RHA questions, answered

How much does RHA filler cost?

At BHRC, $750 a syringe for RHA 3 and RHA 4 at our Houston CityCentre and River Oaks clinics, and $800 a syringe for RHA 2, RHA 3, RHA Dynamic Volume and RHA Redensity at our Henderson clinic, where Beauty Bank members pay $640. The price by clinic table has every number.

Where can I get RHA filler near me?

BHRC offers RHA at Houston CityCentre, Houston River Oaks and Henderson. Our West Hollywood clinic near Beverly Hills, West LA, Valencia, Westlake Village, Downtown Summerlin and Paradise Valley offer Juvéderm and Restylane instead.

    Is RHA better than Juvéderm?

Neither is better everywhere. Both are hyaluronic acid and both can be dissolved. RHA was designed for areas that move; Juvéderm has the only jawline approval of the two. Lip results from RHA 3 and from Volbella or Ultra XC are each stated to last up to a year. Your provider picks by area.

How long does RHA filler last?

Teoxane says up to 15 months in dynamic wrinkles and folds, and up to a year in cheeks, lips and lipstick lines. In its 12-month lip study nearly half of participants still had increased fullness at one year.

What makes RHA different from other fillers?

Teoxane makes RHA with a heatless process it calls Preserved Network Technology and designs the gels to stretch and recover with facial movement. The first FDA approvals were specifically for dynamic wrinkles and folds.

Which RHA filler is used for lips?

RHA 3, approved for lip augmentation in 2023. RHA Redensity is the one approved for the fine lipstick lines around the mouth.

Can RHA fillers be used in the cheeks?

Yes. In September 2025 the FDA approved RHA 4 and RHA Dynamic Volume for cheek augmentation and age-related midface contour loss.

Can RHA be used under the eyes?

RHA Redensity Eye was approved for under-eye hollows in May 2026. It is not on any BHRC clinic's price list yet, so ask your clinic about it.

    Is RHA FDA approved?

Yes. RHA 2, RHA 3 and RHA 4 were approved in 2017, RHA Redensity in 2021, with later approvals for lips (2023), cheeks (2025) and under-eyes (2026).

    Who makes RHA fillers?

Teoxane, a Swiss company, makes the RHA Collection, and Revance distributes it in the US. Revance also makes Daxxify.

    Can RHA filler be dissolved?

Yes. RHA is hyaluronic acid, which hyaluronidase can dissolve if a result is overcorrected or misplaced. Our Houston clinics list Hylenex filler dissolving at $350 a treatment.

What are the side effects of RHA fillers?

Redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, small lumps, bruising, discoloration and itching at the injection site, usually settling within a week or so. Injection into a blood vessel is rare but serious, which is why only licensed injectors should treat you.

How old do you need to be for RHA?

22 or older. That is the age in every RHA FDA approval.

Is there a rewards program for RHA?

Yes. The Teoxane RHA Collection earns points in REVA Revance Rewards, Revance's free points-based loyalty program. Revance's site lists 200 points, worth $20, per syringe, on up to five syringes a visit, plus 250 welcome points. Points are earned and redeemed at participating providers, and Revance sets the terms.
