Cell Sound therapy · Full body

    In short

Cell Sound is a non-invasive wellness treatment that delivers low-frequency acoustic waves through applicators placed on the body. Sessions are calm and comfortable and most people find them deeply relaxing. It is offered as a wellness and relaxation therapy rather than as a treatment for a specific medical or aesthetic concern, because the published evidence for acoustic therapies is considerably thinner than for the core treatments we carry.

What this is, and what we are not going to claim

Cell Sound delivers low-frequency acoustic waves through applicators placed against the body. You lie down, the session runs for half an hour to an hour, and most people describe it as deeply relaxing, a low physical hum rather than anything you hear. That experience is real and it is the reason people book it. What we are not going to tell you is that it regenerates tissue or resolves a medical condition. The published evidence for acoustic therapies is a good deal thinner than for the treatments that make up most of what we do, and claiming otherwise would be inconsistent with how we talk about everything else. If you have come to us with a specific clinical or aesthetic goal, there is almost certainly a better-evidenced treatment for it, and we would rather send you there.

    How it works

    What a Session Involves

Straightforward, and there is not much to it.

You lie down fully clothed and applicators are positioned against the body for the area being treated, whether that is the face, a specific region or a full-body protocol.

Low-frequency acoustic waves are delivered through those applicators. The sensation is a gentle vibration or hum felt rather than heard, and the intensity is set to what you find comfortable.

The session runs thirty to sixty minutes. Most people find it deeply relaxing and a fair number fall asleep, which is genuinely the most common feedback we get.

You get up and carry on with your day. There is no recovery, no aftercare and no restriction on anything.

    Which product

How to think about where this fits

Honestly, including when to book something else.

A BHRC provider discussing wellness treatment options
    As relaxation

Starts working: None. Lasts: Immediate. This is the claim we will stand behind. Sessions are calm and comfortable and most people find them genuinely restorative in the way a good massage is. If that is what you are after, it delivers it.

    As a wellness routine

Starts working: None. Lasts: Ongoing. Reasonable, if you find the sessions valuable. Plenty of people build recovery and downtime into their week deliberately, and this is a pleasant way to do it.

    ⚠️ For a clinical goal

Starts working: n/a. Lasts: n/a. Book something else. If you want skin texture treated, collagen stimulated, pain managed or a medical condition addressed, we carry treatments with real evidence behind them and your provider will point you at the right one.

⚠️ What we will not claim

Starts working: n/a. Lasts: n/a. That it regenerates tissue, resolves inflammation or treats disease. The published evidence for acoustic therapies does not support statements like that, and we are not going to make them just because the category commonly does.

What a Cell Sound Session Offers

Kept to what is actually defensible.

    A genuinely relaxing hour

The main reason to book it, and reason enough. Most people find it deeply calming.

    Completely non-invasive

No needles, no heat, no light, nothing applied to the skin.

    No downtime at all

Get up and carry on. Nothing to plan around.

    Comfortable for almost anyone

Fully clothed, and the intensity is set to what you find pleasant.

    Pairs with other appointments

Commonly combined with a HydraFacial or a lymphatic massage into one longer visit.

    ⚠️ Not a treatment for a condition

If you have a specific clinical or aesthetic goal, ask about a treatment with evidence behind it instead.

⚠️ We will say when to skip it

If it is not going to do what you are hoping for, you will be told that before you book rather than after.

    Aftercare

    Before and after a session

There is very little to arrange.

If it does nothing for you

Tell us and stop. Not every wellness treatment suits every person and we would rather you spent the money on something you value.

    Is it for you

    Who Cell Sound suits

It is a relaxation and wellness treatment. Whether it suits you depends almost entirely on what you are hoping to get from it.

You may enjoy Cell Sound if you

    • Want a calm, non-invasive session with no needles and no downtime
    • Are booking a HydraFacial or a massage and want to extend it into a longer wellness visit
    • Build deliberate recovery and downtime into your week
    • Find relaxation treatments genuinely valuable and want to try something different
    • Cannot tolerate needle-based or heat-based treatments

Cell Sound is probably not what you want if you

    • Have a specific aesthetic goal such as texture, pigment, laxity or volume, all of which have better-evidenced treatments here
    • Are seeking treatment for a medical condition, pain or inflammation, which belongs with a physician
    • Are looking for evidence-backed results comparable to our core treatments, since the published evidence for acoustic therapies is considerably thinner
    • Are persistently fatigued and want to know why, in which case a blood panel will tell you far more

Tell your provider what you are actually hoping for. If this is not the right thing to book, you will be told before you book it.

    Frequently asked

    Cell Sound questions, answered

What does Cell Sound actually do?

It delivers low-frequency acoustic waves through applicators placed against the body, which you feel as a gentle vibration or hum rather than hear. We offer it as a relaxation and wellness treatment. Most people find the sessions deeply calming, which is the honest and defensible description of what it does.

Is there evidence that it works?

For relaxation and comfort, the experience speaks for itself and it is what most people book it for. For therapeutic claims such as tissue regeneration or reducing inflammation, the published evidence for acoustic therapies is considerably thinner than for the treatments that make up most of what we do. We would rather tell you that directly than repeat claims the evidence does not support.

    Will it help my skin?

If skin is your concern, book a treatment intended for it. Microneedling, resurfacing, peels and HydraFacial all have far more behind them for texture, tone and pigment. Your provider will point you at whichever fits your skin.

    Does it hurt?

No. The sensation is a low hum or gentle vibration and the intensity is set to what you find comfortable. You stay fully clothed throughout.

    How long is a session?

Thirty to sixty minutes depending on whether you are having a facial, targeted or full-body protocol.

    Is there any downtime?

None at all. There is no recovery and no restrictions, so you can get up and carry on with your day.

    How much does it cost?

Protocols and session lengths vary so pricing is quoted by phone. Call your nearest studio on (310) 912-7271 and they will tell you what a session costs and what it involves.

How often should I have it?

As often as you find it worthwhile. There is no course to complete and no commitment, and if you do not find it valuable we would rather you spent the money on something you do.
