    Revanesse Versa · Nasolabial folds

    In short

Revanesse Versa is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler used for facial volume and for smoothing moderate to severe folds such as nasolabial lines. Its notable property is that it is reported to produce less post-treatment swelling than many comparable HA fillers, which makes it a practical choice when you need to be presentable quickly. At BHRC it starts at $700 a syringe and lasts around 12 months.

The filler for when you cannot afford to look swollen

Most hyaluronic acid fillers do broadly similar things, and the honest position is that Versa is a competent mid-market filler rather than a category leader. What it does have is one property worth knowing about: it is consistently reported to produce less post-treatment swelling than many comparable products. For a lot of people that is irrelevant. For anyone with an event, a shoot or a week of meetings, it is the whole decision. That is the reason to choose it, and we are not going to dress it up as anything more sweeping than that.

For deep structural work in the cheeks or jawline, a firmer product such as Juvederm Voluma or Restylane Lyft is usually the better choice. Versa's strength is general volume and folds.

    How it works

    How Revanesse Versa Works

Hyaluronic acid, with unusually uniform particles.

Hyaluronic acid binds water, and that is what creates volume when it is placed under the skin. Versa uses the same underlying molecule as every other HA filler.

Versa is manufactured with notably uniform, spherical gel particles. That consistency is what the manufacturer credits for its smooth handling and for the reduced swelling that injectors consistently report.

It is injected at a depth chosen for the area, usually into the mid to deep dermis for folds and deeper for volume.

It breaks down gradually over about twelve months, and like every hyaluronic acid filler it can be dissolved on demand with hyaluronidase.

    Revanesse Versa

Starts working: Usually minimal. Lasts: About 12 months. From $700. A competent HA filler for folds and general volume, with a real reputation for less post-treatment swelling. The right pick when you need to look normal quickly.

    Juvederm

Starts working: 1 to 7 days bruising. Lasts: 6 to 24 months. From $700. A wider range of five formulations including dedicated structural products. Voluma lasts up to 24 months, longer than Versa.

    Restylane

Starts working: 1 to 7 days bruising. Lasts: 6 to 18 months. From $700. Two gel technologies, and Kysse in particular has a stronger reputation for lips than Versa does.

    ⚠️ Being straight about it

Starts working: n/a. Lasts: n/a. If you want maximum longevity, Voluma lasts longer. If you want the best lip result, Kysse is usually the pick. Versa's case is reduced swelling and solid all-round performance, and we would rather tell you that than pretend it wins on everything.

    Is it for you

    Who Revanesse Versa suits

Versa suits people who want a reliable hyaluronic acid filler and who care about getting back to normal quickly.

Versa may suit you if you

    • Have an event, shoot or busy week and cannot afford visible swelling
    • Want nasolabial folds or marionette lines softened
    • Want general mid-face volume rather than deep structural change
    • Have found other fillers left you swollen longer than you would like
    • Want a treatment that can be dissolved if you change your mind

Versa may not be the right pick if you

    • Want maximum longevity, since Juvederm Voluma lasts considerably longer in the cheeks
    • Are focused on lips, where Restylane Kysse is usually the better product
    • Need deep structural support in the jawline, which needs a firmer gel such as Volux or Lyft
    • Have skin laxity rather than volume loss
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active infection at the site

    Frequently asked

    Revanesse Versa questions, answered

    What is Revanesse Versa?

A hyaluronic acid dermal filler used for facial volume and for smoothing moderate to severe folds such as nasolabial lines. It works on the same principle as Juvederm and Restylane: hyaluronic acid placed under the skin binds water and creates volume.

Why choose Versa over Juvederm or Restylane?

Mainly one reason: it is consistently reported to produce less post-treatment swelling. If you have an event, a shoot or a week of meetings coming up, that matters a lot. If you do not, the other ranges offer more specialised formulations and, in Voluma's case, longer duration. We carry all three and will tell you which fits.

How much does Versa cost at BHRC?

From $700 a syringe, the same as our other primary-area fillers. Most people start with one to two syringes.

    How long does it last?

Around twelve months for most people. That is solid but shorter than Juvederm Voluma in the cheeks, which can run to twenty-four months.

    Does it really swell less?

It is a consistent and widely reported observation among injectors, attributed to the uniformity of its gel particles. Worth being precise though: less swelling is not no swelling. Still allow a week before an important event.

    Can it be dissolved?

Yes. It is hyaluronic acid, so hyaluronidase breaks it down within a day or two if you dislike the result.

    Is Versa good for lips?

It can be used in lips, but Restylane Kysse is generally the stronger lip product because its flexible gel moves more naturally with expression. If lips are your main goal we will usually suggest Kysse.

    Does it hurt?

About the same as any filler, which is to say less than most people expect. Versa contains lidocaine and topical numbing is applied first.
