Injectables
Salmon DNA polynucleotides. It sounds strange and it is one of the most interesting skin-quality treatments to arrive in years.

Pricing depends on the area and on whether it is injected or infused through microneedling, so it is quoted by phone rather than listed. Send the form below and we will come back with current pricing. Ask about the course price rather than the single session, because a single Rejuran session will not show you what the treatment does.

Rejuran · Full face
In short
Rejuran is a skin booster made from polynucleotides, fragments of DNA purified from salmon. Injected into the skin in a series of small microinjections, they act as a repair signal, improving elasticity, hydration and overall skin quality over a course of three to four sessions. It is not a dermal filler and adds no volume. At BHRC it is also available as a booster infused through microneedling channels.
Polynucleotides are short chains of DNA, and the ones used in Rejuran are purified from salmon because salmon DNA is structurally very similar to human DNA and is well tolerated. Injected into skin, they do not add volume or fill anything. They act as a signal, prompting fibroblasts toward repair: better hydration, better elasticity and better overall skin quality. It is a genuinely different mechanism from filler, which adds material, and from neurotoxin, which stops movement. Rejuran is closer in spirit to microneedling or PRP than to anything injected for shape, and like those it works over a course rather than in one visit.
Units and cost
Skin-quality treatments, side by side.
| Area | Typical units | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Rejuran | Repair signalling, elasticity | Call for pricing |
| Skinvive | Hydration and glow | $350 |
| PRP | Your own growth factors | from $950 |
| Cell Factor | Acellular growth factors | from $499 |
| Microneedling | Collagen via controlled injury | from $500 |
| Dermal filler | Volume and structure | from $700 |
The first five all treat skin quality by different mechanisms and none of them add volume. Only the last one changes facial shape. Which of the five suits you depends on your skin and on whether you are willing to have blood drawn.

How it works
A repair signal, delivered into the skin.
Polynucleotides are extracted and purified from salmon DNA. The purification is the important part: what is delivered is the nucleotide chain, not salmon protein, which is why allergy is not the concern people assume it would be.
They are delivered into the dermis, either as a series of small microinjections across the area or infused through microneedling channels while those channels are open.
In the skin they act as a signalling molecule, supporting fibroblast activity and the skin's own repair processes. The effect is on skin quality, hydration and elasticity rather than on volume or shape.
Because it works by prompting your own repair rather than by adding material, the change is gradual and cumulative. A course of three to four sessions two to four weeks apart is the protocol; one session is not a trial, it is an incomplete course.
Which product
Four ways to improve skin quality, honestly compared.

Starts working: 1 to 3 days of bumps. Lasts: Cumulative over a course. Polynucleotides that act as a repair signal. Best for overall skin quality, elasticity and resilience. Needs a course of three to four. Not a filler and adds no volume.
Starts working: 1 to 3 days of bumps. Lasts: About 6 months. $350. Pure hydration and glow, one session, no course. Simpler and more immediate, but it does less: hydration rather than repair.
Starts working: 1 to 2 days. Lasts: Improves over months. From $950. Your own platelets, so nothing foreign is introduced, and it has the longest track record of the four. Requires a blood draw.
Starts working: As base treatment. Lasts: Improves over months. From $499 as a booster. Growth factors with no blood draw. Newer, with less published evidence than PRP.
Good to know
Skin quality, not facial shape.

The property Rejuran is most associated with, and what distinguishes it from pure hydrators.
Resilience and healthy appearance rather than a single fixed problem.
Improved water retention in the dermis.
Improves from beneath as skin quality improves.
One of its more popular uses, where the skin is thin and filler is risky.
It is not a filler. No cheekbones, no lift, no contour change.
It is a course. Anyone selling you a single Rejuran session as a trial is selling you an incomplete treatment.
Aftercare
Similar to Skinvive: a bumpy 48 hours, then it settles.

Small raised bumps at each injection point, expected rather than a complication.
The bumps settle as the product disperses.
Possible, especially under the eyes, where the skin is thinnest.
Heat, heavy exercise and alcohol for 24 hours.
Two to four weeks. The interval matters because the effect is cumulative.
Change is gradual. Matched-light photographs are the only reliable way to see it.
Usually every six to twelve months after the initial course.
Is it for you
Rejuran suits people focused on skin quality who are willing to commit to a course rather than a single visit.
We also carry Skinvive, PRP and Cell Factor, which treat skin quality by different mechanisms. Your provider will compare them for your skin rather than defaulting to one.
Your timeline
A course, then maintenance.
Frequently asked
Polynucleotides, which are short chains of DNA purified from salmon. Salmon DNA is used because it is structurally very similar to human DNA and is well tolerated. What is injected is the purified nucleotide chain rather than salmon protein.
No. It adds no volume and will not change your facial shape or contours. It is a skin booster: it acts as a repair signal that improves skin quality, elasticity and hydration. If you want structure or cheekbones, you want a dermal filler instead.
Raise it with your provider before booking. The polynucleotides are purified, so the salmon proteins that cause fish allergy are not what is being injected, but this is exactly the kind of thing to discuss at consultation rather than read about online. Your provider will review your history properly.
Pricing depends on the area and on whether it is injected or infused through microneedling, so it is quoted by phone. Call your nearest studio on (310) 912-7271. Ask for the course price rather than the single-session price, since it is designed as a course of three to four.
Three to four, spaced two to four weeks apart, then maintenance every six to twelve months. The effect is cumulative, so a single session will not show you what the treatment does. Budget for the course.
They overlap but are not the same. Skinvive is simpler: one session, $350, pure hydration and glow, lasting about six months. Rejuran is a course aimed at skin repair and elasticity rather than hydration alone. If you want a quick glow, Skinvive. If you want to work on skin quality over time, Rejuran.
There is some discomfort, since it is a series of small injections into the skin. Topical numbing is applied first. Having it infused through microneedling channels instead of injected is noticeably more comfortable and is a common choice for that reason.
Ask your provider about the current regulatory status of the specific product being used, and they will tell you plainly. Polynucleotide treatments are well established in Korea and increasingly used in the US, but the regulatory position differs between countries and we are not going to imply an approval status on a web page.

What Megan does
Rejuran, Skinvive, PRP and Cell Factor. They work by genuinely different mechanisms, so the recommendation can be about your skin rather than about what we stock.
It adds no volume. Selling a skin booster to someone who wants cheekbones is how people end up disappointed and out of pocket.
Polynucleotides are well established in Korea and newer in the US. Your provider will tell you the current status of the product being used rather than implying an approval we cannot claim.
Because that is how it works. One session is an incomplete treatment, not a trial.
Through microneedling channels is more comfortable and treats texture at the same time.
Standardised training and the same protocols in every location.
