Scars are improved rather than erased, and different kinds need genuinely different treatments. This page is about which one yours needs.
$1,800for 3 to 6 sessions
Save 15% vs. individual sessions
New clients save 15% on your first treatment.
Scars need a course, not a session, which is why the package is priced the way it is: from $1,800 for three to six sessions, a 15% saving. The cost depends on the size of the area and the type of scar. Assessment comes first, because keloids in particular can be made worse by the wrong treatment.

Scar revision · Stretch marks
In short
Scar revision uses microneedling, fractional CO2 laser or radiofrequency to break down scar tissue and rebuild normal collagen in its place, from $500 per session at BHRC. Most scars need three to six sessions and improve by roughly half to three quarters rather than disappearing. New red stretch marks respond far better than old white ones, and keloids need assessment first because the wrong treatment can make them worse.
A stretch mark, a keloid and a tethered surgical scar are three different tissue problems and they do not share a treatment. Stretch marks are tears in the dermis, and they respond to collagen stimulation, dramatically so while they are still red and much less once they have gone white. Keloids are the opposite problem, an overgrowth of scar tissue, and treating them like an ordinary scar can make them larger. Surgical and C-section scars are often tethered to the tissue underneath, which needs releasing before resurfacing achieves anything. The assessment is what decides which of these you have.
Units and cost
By scar type. This is the table that matters.
| Area | Typical units | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Stretch marks, red or new | Microneedling, 3 to 6 | from $500 |
| Stretch marks, white or mature | Microneedling or RF, 6+ | from $500 |
| Surgical scars | CO2 or RF microneedling | from $700 |
| C-section scars | RF microneedling, release | from $700 |
| Keloids | Assessment first | consultation |
| Raised or hypertrophic | RF microneedling | from $700 |
| Burn scars | CO2 or RF, staged | from $700 |
| Package, 3 to 6 sessions | Any of the above | from $1,800 |
Acne scarring is treated on its own page, where the approach differs because it is usually widespread and atrophic rather than a single scar. Keloids are quoted after assessment, not before.

How it works
Break down the disorganised tissue, rebuild it properly.
Scar tissue is collagen laid down fast and in the wrong direction. It is the disorder, not the quantity, that makes a scar look and feel different from the skin around it.
Microneedling, radiofrequency and fractional laser all create controlled micro-injuries through that tissue. The body clears the disorganised collagen and lays down new collagen in a more normal arrangement.
Tethered scars, common after surgery and C-sections, are additionally released from the tissue beneath so the skin moves normally again. This often matters more to how a scar looks than the surface treatment does.
Remodelling runs for three to six months after the final session. The result at week four is not the result.
Which product
Including where each one is the wrong choice.

Starts working: Redness 1 to 3 days. Lasts: Improves over 6 months. From $500, safe on every skin tone, and the first choice for stretch marks and atrophic scars. Best results on red or new stretch marks. Less effective alone on thick raised scars.
Starts working: Redness 2 to 4 days. Lasts: Improves over 6 months. From $700. Adds heat at depth, which is what thicker, tethered and raised scars need. Safe across skin tones because it does not rely on light.
Starts working: 5 to 7 days peeling. Lasts: Improves over 6 months. From $700 and the most powerful option here, particularly on mature surgical scars. ⚠️ Seven days of genuine downtime and a pigmentation risk on deeper skin types, so it is not for everyone.
Starts working: Varies. Lasts: Varies. Treated on its own page. Acne scarring is usually widespread and atrophic rather than a single scar, and the protocol differs enough to be worth going there instead.
Good to know
With the limits stated up front.

The softest target here and nothing else on the site addresses it. Red and new marks respond very well.
RF microneedling reaches the depth that surface treatment does not.
Including releasing scars tethered to the tissue underneath, which often matters more than the surface.
The goal is a scar that stops catching the eye, not one that has vanished.
Before anything is done to them, because the wrong treatment makes them larger.
Expect roughly half to three quarters better across a course. Anyone promising erasure is overselling.
Once a stretch mark has gone silvery it has matured, and improvement is real but more modest. Treat them early if you can.
Aftercare
Scar remodelling is slow, and that is normal.

One to three days of redness, like mild sunburn. Makeup the next day.
Two to four days of redness and some swelling.
Five to seven days of genuine peeling. Plan around it, it is not a lunchtime treatment.
New scar tissue pigments easily. SPF on the treated area daily, for months.
Four to six weeks. Rushing the interval does not speed up collagen.
Where the real change shows. Photograph in the same light each time, because gradual change is invisible day to day.
The improvement holds. Scar tissue does not revert.

Frequently asked
We can treat a wide variety of scars including acne scars (ice pick, boxcar, rolling), surgical scars, traumatic scars from injuries, burn scars, and stretch marks. During your consultation, our providers will evaluate your specific scar type and recommend the most effective treatment approach for your unique situation.
The number of treatments varies depending on the type, severity, and age of your scars. Most patients see significant improvement with 3-6 treatment sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Some mild scarring may improve with fewer sessions, while deeper or more extensive scarring may require additional treatments. Your provider will create a customized treatment plan during your consultation. Is scar revision painful?
We apply topical numbing cream before treatment to ensure your comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild to moderate, similar to tiny pinpricks. Downtime varies by treatment type—microneedling typically has 1-3 days of redness, while more intensive laser treatments may have 5-7 days of recovery. Our providers will discuss what to expect based on your specific treatment plan.
Initial improvement is often visible within 2-4 weeks after your first treatment as your skin heals and collagen production begins. However, the most dramatic results develop over 2-3 months as new collagen continues to form and remodel. Full results are typically achieved after completing your recommended treatment series, with continued improvement for up to 6 months.
Both treatments stimulate collagen production but work differently. Fractional lasers use light energy to resurface the skin and are excellent for deeper scars and significant texture issues. RF microneedling uses tiny needles with radiofrequency energy for controlled collagen stimulation with less downtime. Many patients benefit from combining both modalities. Your provider will recommend the best approach based on your scar type and skin characteristics.
Yes, we offer scar revision treatments safe for all skin tones. However, darker skin tones may require modified treatment parameters and different technology choices to minimize the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Our experienced providers are trained in treating diverse skin types and will customize your treatment plan accordingly to ensure safe, effective results.
Ideal candidates are adults in good overall health who have mature scars (typically at least 6-12 months old). You should have realistic expectations about outcomes—while we can significantly improve the appearance of scars, complete removal isn’t always possible. Candidates should not have active acne, skin infections, or be taking certain medications like isotretinoin. Our providers will assess your candidacy during your consultation.
Yes, the improvements achieved through scar revision treatments are long-lasting. Once new collagen is formed and the skin texture improves, these changes are permanent. However, natural aging will continue, and maintaining results with good skincare and sun protection is important. Some patients choose occasional maintenance treatments to optimize their results over time. Individual results may vary. What Megan does
Most clinics quietly do not, because the results are gradual and the area is large. Red and new marks respond genuinely well, and it is worth doing.
They can recur and they can worsen with the wrong approach. That assessment happens before anything is done to them.
Microneedling, RF microneedling and fractional CO2. Different scars genuinely need different tools, and carrying all three means we can pick rather than sell.
Half to three quarters better across a course, not erased. Setting that at the start is the difference between a delighted patient and a disappointed one.
Microneedling and RF work without relying on light, which matters because keloids and pigmented scarring are more common on deeper skin.
Standardised training and the same protocols in every location.
