Pre-Treatment Prep
Come to your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin) for 5-7 days before treatment. We apply a prescription-strength topical numbing cream 30 minutes before the procedure — this is essential for comfort with Morpheus8’s needle depth.
The Morpheus8 Treatment
The Morpheus8 handpiece is pressed firmly against the treatment area in a stamping motion, delivering a burst of RF energy at each pass. You’ll feel a series of pinpricks and a deep warming sensation — the numbing cream handles most of this. A full-face session takes 45-60 minutes. I work in overlapping zones to ensure consistent coverage across the entire treatment area.
Immediately After
Your skin will be red and slightly swollen, with a visible grid-pattern from the needle array. This is completely normal. We apply a calming serum and mineral SPF before you leave. Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours. Plan for 3-5 days of social downtime — you can work from home, but you’ll likely not want to be in public-facing situations during this window.
Post-Treatment Care
Days 1-3: cleanse gently with lukewarm water, apply hyaluronic acid serum and a fragrance-free moisturizer twice daily. No actives (retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C) for 7-10 days. SPF 30+ every morning, no exceptions. Avoid intense exercise, saunas, and pools for 5-7 days. The grid pattern and redness will fade — don’t pick or exfoliate. Your Next Sessions
We space Morpheus8 sessions 4-6 weeks apart to allow full healing between treatments. Most patients complete 3 sessions for optimal results. Each session can be customized — we may adjust needle depth or energy settings based on your skin’s response from the previous treatment. When Will You See Results?
