Day by day

General guidance. Your provider's aftercare instructions come first.

Day 0 to 1Expect redness, warmth and a grid pattern of small marks. Follow the instructions you were given in the room. Most providers say no makeup and no washing for the first several hours.
Day 1 to 3Gentle cleanse, recovery serum, moisturizer, mineral SPF. Swelling is usually at its peak now and settles after.
Day 3 to 7Same routine. Light mineral makeup is often fine from here if your provider agrees. Stay out of saunas, pools and direct sun.
Week 2 onwardBring retinoids, acids and vitamin C back only when your provider clears you. Keep the SPF going for the full series.

Can you wash your face after Morpheus8?

Yes, but gently and usually not right away. Many providers ask you to wait until the next morning, then use lukewarm water and a non-foaming cleanser, patting dry with a clean towel. Scrubbing, cleansing brushes and hot water make redness last longer.

Can you wear makeup after Morpheus8?

Most providers say no makeup for at least 24 hours, and some prefer longer after deeper settings. When you go back to it, use clean brushes and a breathable formula. Oxygenetix foundation was originally created with post-procedure skin in mind, which is why we stock it.

What to avoid after Morpheus8

Retinol, tretinoin and other retinoids, glycolic and salicylic acid, vitamin C serums, scrubs, peel pads, fragrance, saunas, hot yoga and direct sun. Most of this is about a week; your provider may tell you longer.

How soon can I wear makeup after Morpheus8?

Commonly after 24 hours, sometimes longer. Ask your provider, and choose a breathable mineral foundation when you do.

When can I use retinol after Morpheus8?

Usually about a week, once the skin has stopped feeling sensitive, and only when your provider gives the go-ahead.

Is the same aftercare right for Morpheus8 on the body?

The principles are the same: gentle, hydrating, protected. For the body, Alastin makes TransFORM to use after body-sculpting treatments.
